Cairngorm Outdoors ltd is committed to providing the highest level of care  to the children and young people we look after. Protecting them from harm and providing them with a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment is of paramount importance.

It is therefore vital that our recruitment procedures meet all the requirements contained in the existing regulatory and legal frameworks. We endeavour to meet the requirements outlined, but also work within the principle of continuous improvement, striving to evaluate and develop our procedures involving our young people to ensure the highest standards are achieved.

We are currently looking to recruit for the following vacancies:

​Residential Child Care Worker

We are looking for highly motivated Residential Childcare Workers to provide care and support to children and young people with complex needs and attachment  disorders.

To join us as a Residential Childcare Worker, you will:

  • ​Have an interest in working with children or young people.
  • Be highly motivated and have a genuine interest in caring for vulnerable young people in a residential setting.
  • An HNC or degree level qualification is desirable along with an SVQ3 in Social Services. However, training will be provided for appropriate candidates.
  • A full driving license is essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.

This position also requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.
